UZ DOOR HANDLES / DOOR FITTINGS

CX 2172 - Electronic door handle with one-sided electronic authorization

CX 2174 - Electronic door fitting with electronic authorization on one side

Required tools & accessories
  • Uhlmann & Zacher door handles / door fittings in original packaging, including drilling template and Allen key (Hex wrench)
  • Uhlmann & Zacher Servicekey card
  • Optional: Uhlmann & Zacher battery replacement and dismantling card
  • BlueID Lock Admin App, including tenant name, user name and password
  • BlueID ACaaS Web GUI, including tenant name, user name and password
  • For door handles: 7-7.5mm and 8-8.5mm drill bits (suitable for the respective door material)
  • For door fittings: 8-8.5mm drill bit (suitable for the respective door material)
  • Pipe wrench
  • Phillips screwdriver for M4 and M5
  • M2 wrench

1. Observe the manufacturer's instructions for intended and improper use as well as the general safety instructions.

2. Familiarize yourself with the structure and scope of delivery of the door handle or door fitting.

3. Observe the manufacturer's general assembly instructions and the information on the drilling template.

4. If necessary: Drill holes in the door using the drilling template provided.

5. Mount the square pin on the electronic door handle or door fitting.

6. Drill holes in the door with the help of the respective drilling template and assemble the mechanical and then the electronic side: for round rose.

Installation and set up
  1. Get acquainted to the Uhlmann & Zacher Servicekey card.
    Operating and assembly instructions, “5.1 Teaching in the service key”, p. 32

  2. Optional: Learn the Uhlmann & Zacher battery replacement and dismantling card.
    Operating and assembly instructions, “5.2.1 Teaching in the battery replacement and disassembly card”, p. 32

  3. Set the time with the help of the BlueID Lock Admin App.

  4. Create a new lock in the ACCESS Web GUI.

  5. After the lock has now been created in the Access GUI, the door handle / door fitting is now assigned with the Lock Admin App.

  6. Test the functionality with the help of the Lock Admin App.

Maintenance
  1. Battery change*: Loosen the safeguard of the battery compartment on the back of the handle (grub screw M2), pull it off and insert a new CR123A battery (negative pole towards the bottom of the handle). Insert the handle back and tighten it with the M2 wrench (clockwise).

  2. To ensure proper function, please always use batteries according to the manufacturer's specifications. Batteries other than those prescribed by the manufacturer can lead to unexpected voltage drops and malfunctions despite the same specification.

  3. Function test & error retrieval.

  4. Firmware Update.
